Great hat and beautiful tooNice hat, but I was looking for a truly soft, crushable old 50’s style Fedora. This is not it. It is well made and has an adjustable inside band for a perfect fit. The brim adjusts very slightly up or down.The dark blue with the metal clasp on the band gets me a lot of compliments and "Dude, where'd you get that hat?" remarks, with the person genuinely looking to check it for themselves (mostly other men).Style:I thought the unisex label might make this hat style a bit geared towards women (since the company mostly has women in all its photos), but it really works perfectly well for both male and female -- when I wear it, it looks like it was specifically designed for men, and when my girlfriend goes out with it on, it looks like it was designed for women. So that passes the ultimate "unisex" test.The dark blue especially goes great with my coats and jackets colored in black and olive. Works well with sweatshirts and also button ups. Really is quite versatile for going with casual or dressed-up outfits.Size:I got the smaller size after I returned the larger one, and it is still a TAD too large, especially the first two weeks after a fresh haircut, but it's quite snug and balanced all-around. I wouldn't keep it if it wasn't -- just keep in mind it runs a bit large when ordering size -- hopefully this great band one day offers more diverse sizing options, but as of now there are only two.Each hat DOES include two Velcro strips you can peel on the inside, to make it a bit tighter if you'd like.The "tad" too large doesn't even make it wobble around or slide down some. I just prefer if it pressed in a bit tighter.Warmth:As for warmth, I wish it was a bit warmer, but it's still plenty warm -- it sufficed for the long, cold winter we just had up north -- but it's not a dedicated thick winter wool hat, like something from Filson. It did handle the snow quite well and was totally unaffected by lots of pile up, so that is another plus. No degradation at all after the first winter :-)This lack of "super warmth" might be more or less appealing to you, depending if you plan to wear it all year round or only in the fall/winter. It's a great hat for early spring, early fall, all winter if you're bundled up, and really any day not too hot or humid (I wouldn't want to sweat in it).Looking forward to wearing this at least through mid-May and picking it back up again in September.----------For 30 bucks, this is pretty much an everyday fedora than can last at least five years and go with every outfit. What more can you ask for?The hat is made of good quality and you can mix it up with a variety of outfits. I’m going to order another in black. I got lots of compliments.Ok, first of all, this is a $25 hat, so please do not try and compare it to a $100+ Stetson or such. With that said, this is a decent hat. The felt is pretty soft, which isn't particularly a bad thing. Shipping was fast and the hat was packed in the cardboard thing in its description plus a stiff plastic piece to keep the crown from being crushed. The whole thing was in just a water proof envelope. On opening, I found the brim flat and the crown smashed a little in one front side. A little reshaping by hand brought everything right, so, yeah, it is crushable an goes back to shape well. The front of the brim wants to come down slightly when you put it on. That's good, because that's the way I wear it. With the soft felt, it doesn't want to change shape, but some steam cleans up the folds well. I got this as a beater hat to save wear on my good ones. Also because it is crushable, it will pack nice.All in all, if you want a well made, but inexpensive felt hat for every day/work or travel, I'd say this will work for you. My daughter already tried to steal it from me, though. BTW, the brim actually measured 2 3/4 inch. After steaming and evening up the crown, mine is just shy of 5 inches at the tallest point. I like it and may order another one later on in another color. I'd say it's a decent hat, that I wouldn't cry if something happen to it. If you wanted, you could probably stiffen the felt a bit. One last thing. Like others have said, it does run big. I wear a size 7 (snug fit) or 7 1/8 (loose fit) or a 56cm. This one sized down with the draw string and also has some sizing strips with it. I didn't need the sizing strips.Hat is amazing in quality and design. Since it is made with wool, its perfect for winter not summer.I have purchased other fedoras on Amazon and the packaging for these are one of the best. No damage to either hat and both fit good. I ordered the black with brown buckle and the camel with brown buckle. The very top of the black one is a different shape than the camel, but that is ok. Also, the brim is not as wide as advertise (I measure 2.25") but I will still keep and add to my mix of fedoras. Would recommend.Nice looking hat. You can use the packaging material to store it and keep it in good shape.No buyer's remorse here. Arrived ahead of time. I'm never taking this hat off. The kids are missing something here. It's amazing how incredible I look. I think I just broke the mirror. I can hardly wait to go outside. Nice feel, not flimsy, hat band adjuster perfect. Maybe it needs a feather, I'll think on that. Fits a wee bit on the larger size so if you have a tiny tiny head it may not be for you. I have an “average” head size and it fits great! My head is small and I got a medium. When I got it and measured was little big and I thought to send it back but it has a system to tight it inside and now fit really well. I love the material and the color. I would buy more of the same style!Aside from receiving the wrong color (return in process) this hat is perfect! High quality and fits a large head. I can wear men’s ball caps easy and often find ladies hats fit small. This one is perfect!! So freaking happy. Measure your circumstance and be sure which size works for you. Another sight for this hat wanted $185 USD and Im Canadian. So happy I looked here first. So worth it.
